I have never used or wanted a pedal kayak but your budget will likely only get a used one. I started kayak fishing 21 years ago at the age of 54 and by ten years ago was hardly using my stinkboat at all, and eventually sold it 5 years ago. Except for livelining snappers, I eschew bait...
For the last week while trying to catch snappers in the creek to liveline, I have been watching the motor boaters casting for peanuts. Most are taking longer than I am to get what they think they need. This time of year its always been relatively easy to get either. I did lose a good size...

Actually except for untangling some ignoramus's discarded fishing line from one that was drowning last year, I had...
Cocktails must be very scattered. I usually get on at least one little blitz in the pequa flats each summer. Great on the grill in marinade when same day ! But lack of any snapper sign not good.
Granted, haven't been out in two days with the AQ
I and thunderstorms, but I also realized I did not catch a single blue or cocktail so far. Terns and cormorants seem busy with baitfish and possibly needlefish, but has anyone seen snappers in the canals and creeks ?
