True. They're wandering around the ocean, they might just wander past you. In case you didn't figure it out, I'm bad at titles.

    Round House Round Two

Thanks. I guess I feel a little better that I wasn't fishing for jellyfish with a net. It was still disappointing. It would have been nice to get a picture of that fish. I'm sure it was comparable to the one the captain brought in. Just bad luck. Sigh, there's always next year. :(

    Round House Round Two

Probably. But there's plenty of videos of whales hitting or being hit by boats. Also, there was no shortage of bunker around yesterday. Probably had something to do with why it was there in the first place. I just don't think 100 ft is much to ask. It's a huge thing with a mind of its own. It...

    Round House Round Two

As you say, I wasn't there so I can't comment on their actions. I assume you're not suggesting that they're breaking the law, but their notoriety makes it okay. And again, the yellow CC wasn't tuna fishing. He probably just didn't know the law, or exercise good judgement. Apparently he hasn't...

I was being facetious, but it's interesting that you seem very defensive of his actions.

    Round House Round Two

It's illegal to intentionally approach within 100ft of a whale. Believe me, he was usually 10-20 ft away and when the whale moved he went after it. He wasn't tuna fishing.

No, but he's lucky he didn't hit it. You don't have a yellow center console do you?

For starters, it's illegal. He wasn't watching from a distance. He was constantly right on top of the thing. Like he was setting up for an easy harpoon shot.

    Round House Round Two

It turns out the last trip wasn't the last trip after all. We didn't actually go to the Round House, but the plan was similar. Run out of Jones, look around and do some trolling. We set up and turned Southwest. There was a whale just outside the inlet that hung around for a bit. Trust me...

    Whats on tonights Menu

The whole Butcher Box thing has become a bit of a running gag at the Avenger household. We cancelled the service a long time ago, and we've still got a bunch of frozen pork loin. I mean,.... a... bunch.... The joke is a variation of; "What should we have for dinner tonight?" "I...

Whats going on in the World

The limited information we have now suggests she was not pilot in command. It appears she was type certified, but only certified as second in command. Likely she was handling the radios as that's usually how shared responsibility is done. One drives. One talks. Way too soon to draw any...

On further research, the aircraft had an unusual horizontal stabilizer configuration. Poor image quality probably negates any interpretation here.

Why does that image look like it's missing the horizontal stabilizer?
