    Coronavirus

I've never heard a good word about it. So, since the Dr. finally cleared me for it, I'm going to roll up my sleeve again at some point soon. I just need to recover from this medical advancement first.

I thought that was the colloquial name for Pertussis. But I'm not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV.

    Coronavirus

I appreciate the insight. Thank you. I have to admit, I'm not a fan of these cocktail vaccinations. Too many things to go wrong at once. I'm also supposed to get pneumonia and shingles vaxx. I'll be spacing them out over a couple of months as well, but I'll mention this for each of them. I...

    Whats on tonights Menu

Good to know. I don't usually do the produce shopping, so I don't ever remember seeing Kirbys in the supermarket. But I'll be paying more attention in the future. So far I'm really liking this venture into pickling. For some future experiments I'm going to have to look in to a way to crinkle...

    Whats on tonights Menu

Once again, tomorrow night or later's menu. We picked up some nice big Kirbys from a farm stand in Melville, because we were in the area. ** I thought I had taken a pic of the whole cucumbers, but I guess not. 🙁 The previous lesson was more cucumbers. The other lesson was bigger cukes to...

    Coronavirus

Today I learned that this is true. Yesterday I got a tetanus booster. Today I got hives. I also learned that, while I may not be the sharpest butter knife in the drawer, at least I was swift enough not to get the other two vaxxes the Dr. recommended at the same time. This way at least I know...

    Whats on tonights Menu

So, another of my gifts from Mrs. Avenger was a set of stainless Kabob spears. We've done this a couple of times. This go-round we used chicken thighs. Harder for me to overcook and I think I finally have a handle on the vegetables. Yes, I keep everything on its own skewer. My feeling is...

I guess there's no statute of limitations when it comes to government revenue: https://www.newsday.com/news/region-state/dmv-license-renewals-new-york-computer-upgrade-unpaid-tickets-l7hpgb77 Old traffic tickets and other violations — including those issued decades ago and out of state — are...

    Whats on tonights Menu

Well, yesterday's tomorrow is today, so it's on tonight's menu. They said 24 hours in the fridge, we tried them out and deemed the pickles a success. We possibly could have used a little more dill, but otherwise they were crispy and had a nice vinegar bite. Gotta hit the farmer's market again...

It's all my fault. I can't tell you how many times I've been warned about not clacking the tongs three times. And here I am again. 🙁

Thanks. Since I usually don't eat fish,.. uh,.... OTOH, I'm sure the processes are similar. There's lots of recipes in the book. Radishes, eggs, and one that is close to my heart, red cabbage. Mom made the most awesome Sauerbraten, and I'm bent on translating her recipe and trying to...
