Caught inshore on March 17, Caught offshore a week later
Just a reminder.
Boat Trailer Registrations expired December 31st of last year.
Don't get an unexpected surprise-a ticket upon your return to the boat ramp
Reregister your trailer. You can do it on line via the NY State DMV website
Takes five minutes
I did not attend this year. The cost of the LIRR and the $20 admission made it prohibitive,
Just wondering what the feeling regarding the show.
Any better or worse than last year.

Last run today. Jigged a few small bass at B11 on the incoming. Nothing on the outgoing
Black fished on the tide change. Fair amount of little ones. None that needed to be measured
Beautiful Day for November. Dead flat. I was in short sleeves.
Enjoy the Holidays!!
Fished the afternoon tide change in the Port Jeff area today. There were about a dozen trailers in the parking lot. Port Jeff car traffic was standing still. it was homecoming day.
There were cars in the ramp lot without trailers. Did not seem like anyone was getting ticketed for parking...
Fished for blackfish today with Ray from Home Depot on a strong moon tide.. Anchored up near Old Field Lighthouse. There were about ten boats scattered about the area.

First Trip of the year from Port Jefferson this morning. Left the ramp about 7AM with the west wind blowing hard. Can the weatherman ever get it right?
Broke the inlet to 3 to 5 footers, picked my way to about half way to B11. Drifts were average to fast. Even with wind against the tide...
Fished Port Jeff area today. Seas were dead flat. Headed to the black fish grounds. BTW Bunker are everywhere. Inside the harbor, outside the harbor from Mt Sinai to Cranes Neck.
Picked a few small black fish. No keepers. Different than the past weeks. Bite did not start until after...
Fished Port Jeff area today from about 7 AM to Noon. Last week, could not get the anchor line to come tight on the set. This week, hard to get an anchor to hold with the strong incoming moon tide and the strong SE wind. 200 ft of anchor line to get the anchor to hold in 40 ft of water...
Pretty much the same report as I posted last Friday. Fished the Port Jeff area. Started the day chasing the birds. There were birds diving, and small surface splashes everywhere.
Lots of rain bait in the water. Small blues however they would not touch anything. Switched to poppers and they...
Bluebird day today. Warm, wind finally laid down. Fished the Port Jeff area. Loads of small blackfish. No keepers for me today. They all seemed to stop growing at 15-3/4 inches.
Hard to get the boat to come back hard on the anchor. Line was not pulling tight after setting the hook...
Fished the Port Jeff area today. What a pleasure that the weatherman finally got it right. Sound was dead flat. Current was running a little bit.
Picked through many small black fish but got my legal limit. Three nice blacks about 18 inches each. One nice sea bass about the same size. Loads...
