Back out today before sunrise,there were fish breaking here and there but not like the past week,we didn’t hook up at all,as far as the bay bite I think it’s just about over..

Wow,I’m pumped,my first 50 inch bass,in the bay on a light spinning rod,wow..

Fished Moriches yesterday morning,tons of short fluke and huge sea robins,one was 16 inches,how big do these suckers get.it was taking drag..lol

Left the dock at 530 am.thought I was going to Moriches but the fog changed my mind,hung around Smith Point Mastic area for just some short fluke,was marking fish but they just weren’t chewing today..

I didn’t know that a fishes sense of smell is so good,better than humans and in fact better then most animals,guess that’s why those smelly clams the bait shop sells won’t catch bass..lol

Back out today for the top of outgoing,wind was honking but still managed three fluke one 22 inch and two 17,found them on on the flats again..

Found the fluke on the flats chewing on baby crabs,everybody else was fishing the Channel..

Hit the beach at Smithpoint after work today,water looked great and no weed and no fish,that is all?

Hit the inlet today for a few drifts,to many boats and no fish,went out to the reef for an hour or so for nothing but huge sand sharks,back inside to anchor on the rocks for blackfish,nothing again,I'm throwing in the towel..

Hit the inlet today for some tog fishing,start of incoming,was a little slow at first but picked up as tide got higher,took three home,lots of boats drifting for bass didn't see any rods bending..

Anybody clam chum in moriches inside or outside the inlet?havent tried yet this year is it to early to many skates an dogfish,thinking about giving it a shot tomorrow,anybody ?

Went out in the fog this morning,incoming tide,stayed local Bellport to smithpoint, a few 16" fluke that all hit the gulp sandeel..

Headed out this morning,had outgoing with a stiff Southwest wind,took one home at 22 inches and fat,bunch a shorts a couple robins one skate,lots of boats fishing,cruising and flying there trump flags..lol

I was getting these down south in my crab trap,my guess is croakers?

Caught a bunch of trout/Spec,that's what they call em down there,closely related to to weakfish..

What type do you guys use sit in or sit on,looking at a Slightly usedHobie quest 13 sit on,they are asking 800 for it,what do ya think? I'll be useing it in relatively calm waters..

Anybody pull there cover yet,there talking 60's this coming week?

What are you guys using,some day I'll get a good humidor but for now this works very good..
