Weaks have been saving my late summer
and this morning after two really good fights, both (probable) weaks were not to see the net. two other snappers met their demise to the plethora of blue claws in the area. I thought I waited long enough before putting the reel in non-reverse. Evidently not.- pequa1

Have now taken home just one less weak than fluke this season. Nothing to brag about but doing better than last year. Got this guy (or gal) while drifting to my "third favorite spot", feeling lazy instead of paddling there. Very last of the outgoing, backbay, no wind, green flies. Livelining...- pequa1

Fluke???
I kayak fish the backbay three hours a morning averging four times a week. Last year the few keepers I got were all in the 20s. This year, although I have caught more, were all "just" 19 or 19 1/2. For the last two weeks I have only been livelining snappers. Lost a probable keeper...- pequa1
