I towed the 24 ft Laguna with a rented Dodge 2500 up from VB in Oct of '17. Had the scare of my life going through the first tube of the CBBT....the trailer started to wiggle on the downward slope as the big rigs were heading up....thought I was going to wreck. My heart didn't stop racing until I was almost out of the first tube. Also had a pair of lowered Honda's stop dead in front of me on the Cross Bronx because there were pot holes....luckily there was no one next to me, otherwise my trip would've ended badly.

about two years ago a guy pulling a boat through the second tunnel heading west - lost a wheel on his trailer - both the boat/trailer & the truck flipped closing traffic in both directions - it was shut down for hours - luckily I was not on that bridge - nightly local news showed the bridge that night - with traffic backed up for 5 to 7 miles in each direction - that was before they could close the entire thing to traffic in both directions
