This video is not for you guys that feel all the newest innovations are useless gimmicks. Of course keep using whatever tackle you like (keep those Mitchell 300s/Penn 710s well lubed and they'll go another 40 years! I know this well, as I work on quite a few of them).
It's a long watch with lots of info scattered throughout, but I think for our inshore fishing the stars are the new spinners - TwinPower XD (expensive, but most of the features of the Stella have migrated "down" to it, at roughly half the cost) and Ultegra (much less pricey, but also less features - still a very good reel though), as well as the improved and expanded Grappler rod lineup, with the upgraded blanks. You can certainly skip around a bit, but look at those three items for sure. I'm a BIG fan of the original Grapplers, btw.
Also, I don't know what that new Ocea 17+ braid will cost, or if it even will be available to the USDM market, but it certainly looks good to me. Like the Gosen X16, it ain't gonna be cheap, that's for sure. Cutting edge tech rarely is . . .
