At the buzzer

Well-Known Angler
Last weekend of rifle season, saw plenty of Doe and yearlings, Yesterday finally saw horns only a spike. Not legal as we have three point rule. Did a morning hunt and decided we give it till 9.30 at 9 am Anthony had 6 Doe come in and dropped her in her tracks. Time to get her ready and head out.

Didn’t drive home with her like that, I know a lot of hunters do. I either put them in the bed of the truck or they get dropped off around the corner at the deer butcher. As with her she only took a short ride on the rack around the corner, to the butcher. Even as a hunter for 40 + years I am not a fan of them being exposed for everyone to see. Will drive up to get her during the week.

agree. as easy as it would be for this old man to just flop it onto that, I still strain my guts and get them onto the tailgate, that is, when I am lucky enough to get one at all.
