Hit WE2 again, last night 6-8PM. HOLY COW! The sea was angry. at times there were 3-5 sets of waves coming in each bigger than the next - most probably 6-8, but I swear there were some 10 footers in there. From were I was on the beach, 1/2 mile from the inlet - I could see the spray off the top of the waves in the inlet. Tide was coming in, and WOW! did it ever come in. Up over the top lip of the beach and washed all the way back to the sea grass - For those that know WE2 - That is a lot of sand to cover! At times the water was up to my knees when it came over the top lip.
Needless to say I had the wind at my back, so I thought - the hell with it, let me try it and see how it goes! I threw tins, bucktails, gulp on a hook, All for nothing. the only thing that got a bite was an orange gulp curly tail and that damn bluefish bit the tail off.
All in all, sometimes, it's incredible to watch the power of the sea....and remember how small you really are
