After hiding in the AC for what seemed like forever, got out for the last of the outgoing and the incoming. Less slipgut, light wind was southerly, not what most forecasted. No competition for my favored spots as all boats were heading to the air show (even though from years attending it is seen MUCH better from the beach unless you own an ocean going yacht.) I would have to check my logs but this morning I caught more fluke than I had in decades, totalling 12, including these two "just made it" keepers. I stayed out longer than usual, wondering if I could limit, but since I usually head for home after just one, I called it a day. May have been cloudy but my old lungs were telling me it was humid and time to go. I swear these damn fluke open their mouths wide to increase the drag on my stringers, but a nice annoyance to have.
