Best Bait for Bottom Feeders.?

Looking to get something different here in south Florida... LMBass & Peacock Bass are slow to date... wanna try for some bottom dwellers, any good bait to try... cellfish...

This should work, Salmon infused with cooking oil, marinating together with salt pork slices in a jar siting in the car with the windows up... cellfish...

Not sure that that would work for catfish... but if you're trying to get an alligator, it probably would work!!!
