Bilge Pump and other Boat Issues 2024

If the pump works on the float switch it's not the pump. Look somewhere else. See if there's any fuses or breakers in the circuit for the manual switch.

I guess using a multimeter to check for voltage and continuity id out of the question?

That’s what I was figuring👍
There’s a main fuse panel behind the helm and that one is fine
There are 1 or 2 access spots between the helm and stern I’ll open today an check
I have a basic volt detector I can try too

Problem solved
Could not find the break, split, or bad connection
Switch was OK
Ran new wire from switch to pump and now it properly works on manual switch and float switch

Interesting. Good basic electrical work tho. Check for power from source and chase it until it disappears.

Just out of curiosity, how is the manual switch wire connected to the pump? Butt connectors, or is there a terminal block somewhere?
