Blackfish Opening Day

Does anyone know the reason for the 4 day difference in the opening of blackfish. Oct 11 for waters west of a line that runs from Orient to Watch Hill RI, & Oct 15th East of that line.

With these warm temps those few extra days won’t make too much of a difference.

There are two tog seasons now. One Long Island Sound and the other that is considered the New York Bight. They have different bags and different seasons. One of the newer crazy regs we have in NY. Had the reps at the hearing not curse out the young girl from ASMFC it probably wouldn't have happened.

Notice the bag limit difference.
