bucktail vise

[Double Trouble]

Need some help finding a vise for tying bucktails with 5/0 hooks,I am not looking for anything expensive.Thanks

But if I were getting one now I would look into something like this- PanaVise Model 201 "Junior" Miniature Vise: Bench Vises: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific as it allows you to flip the lead head over to get the opposite side of the hook without removing the buck from the vise.

I am using a vise that came from my grandfathers' boatbuilding yard (and I have my very own Medicare card, lol.)

As a first vice for just bucktails I would recommend something cheap like this:

Attach it to a cheap tv tray with a bath towel over it to protect tray and shake out loose/small tails when finished.

Nah. But i do saw the occasional 2x4 in the basement during bad weather. I figured someone would post a crafts vise. I have a little thing with alligator clips and a magnifying glass for ship modeling. Just don’t need anything in between lol.
