Captain's Table - Hot Weather = Hot Toggin'

Two days of summer like weather translate into 2 days of excellent Tog fishing. Although no real monsters were decked, the bite was very consistent and everyone went home fully satisfied with full bags of filet.

Tuesday found Steve’s party of 3 enjoying non stop Tog action on the CT side of the Sound with too many shorts to count and a solid catch of 8 nice keepers to 5# plus 6 beautiful keeper Seas Bass to top off the box. The largest fish was taken in my shallow jig spot while the balance were taken in about 50’ depths.

Today with the Sal party of 4 we went straight to the CT reef and again plenty of Tog action with 8 nice fat Tog to 19” taken here along with three 17” Sea Bass. Then on to the shallows where the jigs fooled 4 more keeper Tog to almost 6# for a pretty boat limit.

Looks a bit breezy tomorrow but I have 4 more hearty anglers looking to cash in on the consistent Tog bite. Stay tuned for my next update!
