Ran 2 more back-to-back Scup charters yesterday and today and the bite is now approaching "stupid level"
Yesterday in some nice weather Tony and his 2 buddies slammed the nice big Spawning Scup up to 3# for about 3 hours culling about 40 real nice ones while easily retuning enough fish to have made a boat limit. We did spend about an hour trying for Weakfish and I was marking some pretty nice schools but still no takers. They have to be getting hungry soon with all the spawning activity going on. A few drifts for Fluke in terrible drifting conditions only turned up one short.
Today was supposed to be mainly overcast with less east wind However, Richard and his 3 brothers from Chicago had to deal with a pretty steady rain most of the morning and only a few dry spells. However, the inclement weather did nothing to deter the very aggressive Porgy bite once again. We also tried a few passes for Fluke with a poor drift pattern. However, the guy's persistence did turn up one keeper Fluke a 20" fish.
Looking forward to some better weather and a more consistent Fluke and Weakfish bite stating next week.
