Headed out in the fog this morning to meet a friend who just netting 40 pieces...Joe you need bait? Yes sir! Tnx —.
Incoming for over an hour now I set up near the weather buoy west of 32a. Not a touch from anything bird, shark, bunker in the line zilch for at least an hour of cutting up pieces throwing down and around singing the fishy here fishy tune. Finally I see one of the rod tip twitch and I was able to get to it, turn the clicker off before the first click. The line was taking off like a plane out of JFK!
Yes! this ain’t bird or dogfish... lock n load n let the circle do the rest...Reeled in the 45” 36 pounds with a smile ear to ear. Me not the fish. Tried for almost the rest of the incoming for just 1 shark n a big bird... the cigar was good. Picked up and decided to troll back home... Criss Crossed the trough before dipping north toward home... Had a spoon n a mojo going. Gonna stop using the mojos because they almost instantly lost there wobble...As Carl used to say...stinking bluefish...??RIP Carl...Not a touch on the troll until almost near home... Zzzzzzzzz I thought for a moment my radio was acting up! The spoon got a very nice and healthy bass... long and narrow. Didn’t weigh it or measure because it was totally exhausted and so was I. Hook came right out and was able to revive her shortly after. I love this game! Tight Lines Often All.
