Lovely evening, 10 fish to 22" in 30 min 300 yds from my dock, just STUPID fishing, BUT I caught another tagged fish, the fifth in the past 4 years. This was a Hudson River Foundation tagged fish, as two previous ones were also.
You may remember when self-proclaimed striped bass expert on the other site who said I was one lucky SOB, because a fish tagged in the Hudson River would never show up as far as way as Maine. He steadfastly argued that smaller stripers don't migrate more than 50 miles from their natal area. I constantly asked for his scientific proof of this assertion, but he never could pony that up. In my defense, beside the fact that I've had returns, I would constantly show the return chart from the HRF, showing many, many returns from Rhode Island and beyond. For some reason he never responded to that...
