Gave fluking another try on my 2nd trip out this year on my BW13. Made the run from OB to Eatons Neck. Took a while to find them but eventually found them. A small fleet was there. Saw most everyone pick away at fish with a few hootin and hollering. I was probably fishing with to big of a rig. Managed 3 shorts and 1 keeper at 20". Fished from 8-1. Drift was non existent at times. water temps up nicely at 63 degrees from last weekend. Mackerel were splashing almost everywhere I went. Bunker schools at the entrance of Huntington harbor but nothing appeared to be under them. Tried fishing skinny water on the eastern side of Eatons where I found tons of tiny baitfish (spearing). This year looks like it is setting up to be a banner year. Made it home in time to clean the boat, put away gear, shower and hit the couch as the puck dropped for the NYR game. Had the Bethpage airshow C-130 fly directly overhead which was a pretty awesome sight.
