Scup Trip Limit Increase
- Effective Thursday, October 1, 2020, the per-trip limit is 24,000 pounds in accordance with the Winter II period restrictions contained in NOAA’s Fishery Management Plan for scup.
- This trip limit will remain in effect through December 31, 2020, unless otherwise notified.
- Effective Thursday, October 1, 2020, in New York State, the daily trip limit for bluefish is set at 210 pounds.
- This trip limit will remain in effect until further notice.
- Effective Thursday, October 1, 2020, in New York State, the commercial black sea bass daily trip limit is set at 180 pounds.
- Two Food Fishing License holders are permitted per vessel to each possess and land the black sea bass trip limit on any one calendar day.
- These actions remain in effect until further notice.
- A summer flounder permit is required to harvest the daily trip limit.
