I came across this Horseshoe Crab @ Breezy Point today. prolly the most encrusted Crab I’ve ever seen.. he was alive & kicking, but the large amount of barnacles and “black mussels” made me wonder… why do these crabs get to this level where it may kill ‘em…
turns out he is very old (20 years ) and has stopped molting… I gave him a spa treatment and off he went… I hope to give him a few more years… cellfish…
