Inflatable Kayak Woes

Oh man.
No Flex Tape Roger

What’s the rubber band thing? Couldn’t make it out.

I look at you spinning set up and think of the largest little tuny or large bonito last fall that I fought for half hour. Similar except 10# jbraid. I said never again but I will. Love the challenge and was bouncing a 3/4 oz epoxy in 40’ like no big deal.

I actually had some flex tape that Brad gave me, but I was close enough to the launch to just limp back...I ordered some fresh Hobie MEK glue and will patch it over the weekend.

I buy most of my tackle geared towards freshwater; that Shimano Expride 6'10ML is probably the best sub $300 dropshot rod on the market. Super sensitive with a perfect tip...wayyy overkill in terms of quality for porgies, but nice things are nice lol.

The rubber band trick...get those silicone hair braid bands at CVS, loop it over the eye of the jig and over the bend of the hook, pinning the gulp in place:

They look like braces rubber bands. No zero about hair.

Funny I was kidding about the flex tape. He's like a floating Inspector Gadget (Brad).
