The shop in Jamesport is Jamesport Bait & Tackle 631-298-5450, Google search indicates they are open, although I haven’t been by there

Still a little early for the Weaks, water temps too low. Figure 2nd to 3rd week of May. The old adage is to start fishing for them when the lilacs bloom. Mine are still dormant!

No need to wait till mid-May for Porgies in the Peconics,
Action has started already and by early May it should be pretty steady for a long time.

Fluke in May in the Peconics has been very spotty for some time now but always worth a try. Much more consistent action in June.

My first charters start on May 10 this year so keep an eye out for me; I will help out if possible.
