So after having success fishing for fluke, and striped bass, with a bunch of fillets in the fridge, I decided to head up to Kensico and fish with my good friend Steve. Steve fishes as much as anyone I know, when he says it's red hot, and sends me this pic below I know it's time to head north for some of the best freshwater fishing found anywhere! And it sure was red-hot. I'm not sure I'ver ever seen fishing like this, with a pick up on just about every other cast. I had one streak of five fish in five casts! Please be advised that this is less than 30 miles from NYC.
We came across a few beds that were full of life and the protectors were found there also. I have some great videos that I'll get up ASAP. But this was one of those few great days you get in a season with some of the best bass fishing I've ever seen. You can hear more about this trip on this week's podcast.
