Headed up yesterday morning with my daughter, we sat yesterday morning and saw two doe with no shot, yesterday afternoon wind started to blow hard and I decided I had enough. Woke up the morning I said you wanna go out she said no you go and shoot one then we’ll go home got to the blind at 6am about 7.30 looked out the back window and had a large doe staring straight at the blind windows are tinted but she definitely knew something was up, I turned on my swivel chair and opened the window but she did a 360 and was walking away from me I said to myself well can’t say I didn’t see anything with that a second smaller doe stepped out broadside and I dropped her in her tracks not biggest of deer but sure gonna taste good guess it’s was a nice way to end the last day of rifle season

I love eating any leftover steaks and backstraps cold right out of the frig. I don't recall every having any jerky and only think of it as the impossible to bite off with my teeth beef jerky strips that guys would take with them on annual training or deployments. Because of that I have never bought the kitchen aid to make any.

It’s really not as tough as most jerky’s are I average about 50 two/three inch strips for every 2 pounds, not sure where you are located but I would gladly let you try some I’ll be making it all winter
