Took advantage of almost no wind, the right tide, & glass like conditions & made the run to Montauk today from Greenport. Found the hungry bass in one of the rips along with the fleet. Fish responded to Jigs, & 1 & 1/2 oz bucktails. Had a great day, although I will admit being a little disappointed in the size. Had a total of 9 bass with 2 being in the low end of the slot, & the rest shorts. Did a little searching around but found no other life. Kept one of the slot fish & took a slow comfortable boat ride home.
