new and interesting (to me) prop

I was thinking of buying one of these.

If it is lobster warp tangling-proof, and it drops to $500, I'd be in like flies to you know what!!!
Ran over a winter stick one fall evening while running a launch for a yacht club. I jumped overboard with a knife in my teeth like Chunk in the Goonies. Kind of stupid but I was young and dumb. No one was around and it was pitch black out. Not my smartest moment, but a good one to tell the grandkids.

Anyhow, now I’d pay to not have to do that. No questions asked.

@BennyV I've always said that the person who invents a line cutter that works on outboards and I/Os is an INSTANT billionaire!! I'd petition the Vatican for instant Sainthood for that inventor!!!

Or that bar that the border patrol have on their boats on the Mexico border. Its there for safety if someone stretched a wire across the river this tube on the bow would direct the wire above their head so they don't get decapitated from the wire.

Give me through the weekend and I’ll have a prototype.
What about something like the wire cutters on helicopters?

Maybe I should have been more specific on my specs. It should be just like the line cutter on the shafts of inboards in that it only works on line that's about foul your prop.

I certainly don't want to go out to actively seek and destroy lobstermen's gear, just to protect my engine when I happen to not see one and get nailed by it, it happens to the best of us. Motoring through some areas around here is tougher than Olympic Slalom Skiing!!

It also must not impact performance so things like a cage over the lower unit isn't acceptable...
