Went out Tuesday for Porgies near the Jones Beach Piers and not one nibble. Maybe a few, I couldn't tell with the strong tide. Anchored with 2 other boats maybe about 2 hours before slack low tide , had a hard time holding bottom with a 6 OZ. sinker. Waited until I saw the other boats catching fish until I started to chum. Saw nothing come up and didn't bother chumming.. Sat there in the howling NW wind maybe 3 hours and nothing. Every boat I saw in the bay were either riding around or fishing at the bridges. Didn't wanna fish the bridge by myself. Either the weather affected the fishing or they weren't there. I had good success there in the past. Hope the Bass appear big time again to end the season.l Wish they'd make a reef in Reynolds channel, there's a stretch there 50-70 feet of water..
