Met Frank Sr and Frank Jr about 8 o’clock, plan was bottom fish a few deep drops. And wait for last few hours of out going for bass. Frank Sr ( AKA) the legend was hot hands as always anyone who has fished with him knows he can put fish in the box and he definitely put us to shame. Frank jr and I couldn’t land any keepers sea bass but definitely had our rods bending. Time to make our way back across the sound and set up for bass. Wind and tied with boat traffic played a role on getting the right drift, we had a dozen live spots. Frank jr and I went down Frank Sr stayed on the helm he said fish all over the screen what are you guys doing. Made another drift and I said Frank you fish this drift with your son I took the wheel. Lo and behold the Legend is on boats at fat fish guessing 37/38 fish no measuring quick release. We continued taking turns until the bite shut down. We ended 4 over 3 under 2 slots. Lost two spots I’m assuming were blues and came back to the dock with one spot. Gonna try chunking Tuesday or Wednesday evening.
