just confirmed that there is a kayak launch at this park now. Part of the South Shore Blueway Trail so "non- town" residents are free to use it.
It is all the way down, as far as you can go, and then a cart is needed to walk your yak and stuff to the south end of what they call the fishing pier (albeit the railing makes it questionable as to catching more than snappers there.)
btw, Anyone know if the asshats running Wantagh County Park still charge kayakers to launch at the ramp there ?
