Went out yesterday 7/25 and fished in Jones Inlet for 3 hours. Went directly to the inlet from the ramp because that's where I caught them last week. Got there about 10:30 AM , fished until 1:30 PM, incoming tide until about 2PM, brisk wind from the South . Solid fluke fishing , especially the last 3 hours of incoming . One short fluke after another . The Inlet was pretty crowded when I arrived there in the morning, when I left the inlet was almost empty . Almost all the boats left and the fluke fishing really turned on and it was one fish after another. All shorts. High low squid and spearing , bucktail teaser. Green plastic squid on the hook. No fluke caught on the bucktail teaser. Glad I left when I did, I just got home in time , parked the boat on the driveway and it started to rain hard and there were thunderstorms . Very pleasant out there with the brisk wind .
