My biggest gripe with this first generation of AI is best summed up as overstatement of the obvious. Now that the search engines routinely plop down the AI answer for the first response to the search, I've programmed my brain to totally ignore that. Well today's AI result shows a bit more I in the AI.
I have more than a few banger Gmail addresses, and one is the name of a song on an album from a pretty obscure British Progressive Band that was formed in the late 60s. I have never selected an avatar for this email address and today I got an email to that address and it looks like Gmail assigned me an avatar by putting an image of the album cover for the album that has that song in it!!! The degree of difficulty here is higher than DUH, in that the album's title is not the name of the song I use!!
What's more quizzical is that I've yet to choose an avatar for my main Gmail account, guess the poor AI computer couldn't figure one out. Welcome to my banger email avatar!!!
