Stuck It Out To Get 4

Got out for the blackfish yesterday, & started out on the south side of Pluim Island, took a while for the first keeper to hit the deck then the shorts took over. Made a move, 1st drop the second keeper was welcomed aboard. Realized I was in the N.Y. Bight Region & so is the launch ramp I would be returning to, got stubborn & decided to stick it out on the South side of Plum, looking for new ground. A few more moves & 4 solid keepers in the box, no sea monsters but chunky fish up to 18".

I'm loving these tog reports. There is so much great info here for togsters like us!

On a side note, I hate the ridiculous 3/4 tog reg. The only reason I can think of for making such a stupid reg is because most of the pots catching tog are on the sound and they need to make sure they catch.

I agree regarding the reg being stupid but I think the reason for the reg is that the powers at hand think that there is more pressure on the LIS stock and it is a smaller body of water than lets say the Atlantic Ocean so the feel they need to protect it more. I may be wrong but that was always my assumption. There is however probably a bigger stock of fish in the sound due to all the structure they have avalable to them.
