While fishing one of our favorite reservoirs, with my full-time fishing partner Steve - and we actually had Alaska Captain Eyeglass Joe, in Westchester County, I saw a hawk crash into the water. We could see it was in trouble and unable to fly. We quickly went into action and rowed over to it. This took a while as it kept trying to get away from us. We did finally manage to get to it and I put an ore done and it climbed onto the boat. It stuck around with us for about an hour until we brought it over to land.
That's one of the beauties of fishing, you just never know what you're going to see.
