I call it the CRUST...and I like it. But to some it is an insult to serve them without asking. My mom was at an all female boarding house when she came to the USA and her sister was with her. The woman running the place served her the crust and I swear she moved out the next day and took her astonished older sister with her. She also hurled a few words in Gaelic at the House Matron
