My former company use to act as a supplemental insurance picking up all of my prescription costs & some charges Medicare didn't cover at no charge to me for life. They've recently moved in the direction of many other major companies with their retiree coverage. They are looking to move me over to VIA Benefits come September 1st. VIA Benefits is an insurance broker not an insurance company.
They (EL) will set up an HRA (healthcare reimbursement account) where they allote me $3000 a year to use against premiums & billls not covered by Medicare or Humana (insurance company VIA is recommending for me). All in all it sounds like a desent deal.
Do any of you retirees on here have any experience with VIA that you'd like to share? Reviews on line are mixed.
