I haven't shot waterfall over water in 45 years so I'm really behind the times. That being said, 2 high end, large duckboats pulled out of a local diner and they both had these weird looking things inside of them. The one on the left says "WINGsomething) couldn't read it.

Anybody know WTH they are??

They dont have to be deep enough could be used on the shoreline or in the marsh is there marsh in Maine?
Yes, but our 10' neap tides don't leave them open very long. The other thing I neglected to mention is that these were large boats, e.g. the 225 on that boat, all longer than 18' so I'm thinking the were for shooting sea ducks.

Lots of hypotheses, little facts. Hoping someone that knows can shed some light on this mystery.

Regardless, I'm not going to lose much sleep over it, just curious.

Don't sweat, we were both right, me about Sea Duck Hunting, you about lay out boats. 1 was circular, and that threw me off. I did a quick Sea Duck Outfitter search and find my guy.

Here's the boat I saw, and the lay out boats are inside..

And here are the lay outs deployed with eider dekes, including the "Flying Saucer", LOL...
