So I will start with last night, didn’t post or take photos as phone was in the car, got out with frank sr hooked up with the fleet last night and did some jigging fish were coming up all around, James Joseph out of Huntington was there and fish were flying over rail it took us a little while but we started getting hook ups bass, and blues mixed together we ended the night with 2 slot bass two over slot one under slot and three blues, called it quits just before dark. Met frank sr and frank jr the morning got a little late start but headed to where fish were last night and there were plenty of boats there the morning saw fish come up on boats around us again it was a mix of blues and bass no bass for us today released two blues, word was the fish were there early the morning around 6 o’clock so I’m guessing we were definitely late for the party, moved on to search for sea bass went to some rocky bottom and we had sea bass just no keepers Frank sr 87 years young was hot today with porgies and sea bass coming up we had a few sea robins and a few short fluke come up also after a little while of this the boat traffic coming out of Connecticut was getting heavy and we were rocking and rolling guess boats there for the weekend making there way back across the sound, as we were well on the Connecticut side fishing a lot of our blackfish drops anyway we called it a day keeping some porgies for one of Frank Jr workers. Will get out either tomorrow or Tuesday night jigging again
