We sometimes practice a variation of that. For a 1 hour show we tape it, but start watching it 35 after it started, fast forwarding through the commercials. Doing that we'll usually end watching just as the original broadcast does, but we were spared the commercials.

Watching ? fireman trying to get control of a car fire st Newark Airport parking garage, it’s spread to about 15 cars , oh I’m watching it via ch7 news

finally back in Historic Onancock.................

Hit snow in Southern Jersey - it didn't stop until I hit the Virginia border - couldn't manage much more than 40 MPH - saw what appeared to be at least a dozen car pile up on Route 1 near Dover AFB on the northbound side - wreckage seemed to be littered across a 1/2 mile of highway - 2 good size trucks involved as well...

I like to watch 2 different shows that start at the same time. Just watch one till commercial then go to last channel, rewind to beginning and watch till first commercial on that show. Then just flip back and forth and rewind.
