Figured I would replace all the door hinges in the hallway since they have 50 years of paint on them. Bought 12 hinges yesterday. NG ? they don’t separate like the old ones with the long pin. And they are also not as strong. So now I’m removing the paint and using the original hinges. Feels kinda cool to keep the original doors ( solid wood) and the hinges.?

It's nice to keep the old stuff. Our last house was built in 1939 & every interior door had solid glass door knobs. I had every intention of replacing them with Home depot stuff & taking the glass ones with us, never got around to it. That was 21years ago, & I still think about it & regret leaving them. We were in that house from 1970 till 1999

GENERAL check this out in your shop did you ever get rats living under someones hood like any rats nest or anything like that that looks like something living there,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, got home half hour ago,, i had the oil and filter changed on the rogue sport,,, my friend found out there was a rat living in there,, there was a rat bed,,,, small cereal box ,,,ketchup packs all eaten ,, so my friend took everything out and spayed something to kept them out,,,,, he also told me im lucky the rat didnt chew your wires or anything under your hood,,,, he told me his friend had a 3 year old car and a rat chewed everthing under his hood ,, they total his car to much damage,, holy chit!! ,,,, any of my nyagler friends had this going on under there hoods ><

my front door is from an 1890's British Victorian home - has stained glass, the original mail drop slot & peephole - Brit brought is over - I refinished - had to strip off 100 + years worth of paint

There's not a single nail of screw holding it together - all mortice & tenon

still haven't located it - thank goodness I don't depend on it - however - don't want to buy a new phone - so I'll keep at it
