It's a plastic trough that you fill with distilled water and cleaning solution. You rotate the disc in both directions between two submerged brushes, wipe down with microfiber towel then let air dry.

Most hisses and pops are due to static electricity buildup, everyone thinks the record is dirty.
They have to be cleaned every so often though.

Finished a spreadsheet, I have 297 albums.

I used to have something like that - but much simpler. Squeeze bottle of some sort of solution & a felt pad type thingy.

Yep, you do that every time on both sides of the LP before playing, that removes the static.
