So you're saying lying is OK to get your point across??? One should not misquote nor misconstrue scientific fact, and by spreading your own misinterpretation of data, you're using the same playbook as the Pandemic Deniers and Anti Vaxxers.

Stick to Honky Tonking, or better yet, try fishing again. At least when talking about fishing, stretching or ignoring the truth is totally acceptable and expected...

I have all along (since I started this thread) treated this with the utmost respect & caution. I have never downplayed the seriousness of it. Simply because in my haste I misworded my response I am not using any sort of "playbook".

I realize you can still get it & potentially transmit (remote though that maybe by your own stated statistics) as I learned that in high school biology. One has to wonder why you didn't jump on pequa when he said the same thing. I'd hate to think it might be a case of selective harassment?

As far as your last paragraph - go take a flying leap. Or better yet - stick your sarcasm where the sun don't shine.

ROTFLMAO!! Misworded response? Is that what you call an out and out falsehood that you claim to have been cognizant of? You're sure not supporting your claim of "treating this with utmost respect & caution." Isn't "Doubling Down" used by the "others"? Maybe, "I guess I screwed up, my bad!" are the words you're searching for?

There are enough folks who propagate twisted half truths, misquoted facts and out and out falsehoods to "support" their politically-motivated agenda. Since this is the COVID "Wild West" thread and opinions are OK, I sit back and laugh because this isn't the science thread. In that thread I have no problem moderating scientific falsehoods.

Regardless, I will not sit by and not comment when someone uses that tactic to try justify what the right thing to do is. It's just what the naysayers need to hear; you're feeding into their misguided opinions.

COVID vaccination is primarily a "selfish" act, since you're getting your "Stay on this Side of the Sod Card, but in doing so, you're also performing a "selfless" act. Every vaccinated person represents one more towards herd immunity. When we reach herd immunity, the pandemic should burn itself out and a return to "normalcy" should follow. Those are the facts, no sense embellishing them.

Exactly what this is . Especially since Pfizer and Moderna are in Phase 3 clinical trials now (until 2022) with the Jab on the population (e.g. before they submit results to the FDA for approval when their Phase 3 is completed).

e.g, everyone who is getting the Jab now (before full approval) is actually part of the phase 3 clinical trials.

For those that think the vaccine was rushed, let me ask you this;

If a boatyard is building 5 boats at the same time and then decided that 1 boat needs to be built 1st. Instead of having 5 crews building 5 boats now the crews combined efforts to build the 1 boat. Do you not think the 1 boat will be built much faster with 5 crews focusing their attention?

Of course it will!

Thats basically what happened with the vaccine. The science community shared information and focused all their effort and resources on 1 problem.

As Americans, we take many things for granted. We have access to 3 tested and proven vaccines and complain about not being able to go to a restaurant while other areas of the world are experiencing complete catastrophe with medical systems collapsing!

Yes, as Americans we can choose. Its our right. Not taking the vaccine to stand on principal is just plain selfish and ignorant.
 
Ignorant is when you tell a lie once to a crowd and they see it as a lie. Then tell it a thousand times to the same crowd and it becomes truth.

Yes I read the article and I agree with you. Just my observation that a lot of places my friends work are offering paid time off, cash bonuses, etc for getting the shot.

You haven’t seen anything yet. Certain venues will be requiring proof of vaccination. Like it or not.

Sat at a table ate
Went to the head
Paid and left
All without a mask

So much for requiring mask

in case no because you’ve all missed it
Many many places I’ll go so far as to say most are at maximum paying lip service to this utter bull crap
It’s all one giant waste of time energy and money

simply because as I’ve said from jump street
People have never bought into it
Sure the pretend but the have never fully bought in
