Staying 6 feet apart indoors isn't enough to stop the spread of COVID-19, MIT study finds
Scientists from MIT recalculated the risk of exposure and found that the main indoor precaution - social distancing - often isn't doing much.www.yahoo.com
I am aware of all of that. I'm also pretty sure you were aware of what I was getting at.Unfortunately, you're wrong on both bullet points Larry...
HOWEVER, these facts in no way change the statement that it is the right thing to do. Without herd immunity, we're going to continue living in this nether world of masks, social distancing and restricted attendence.
- Although it is rare, you may still get it. As of today, there is approximately a 0.02% breakthrough infection rate of folks who have been vaccinated, but got a symptomatic case of COVID-19. Obviously, there are probably more asymptomatic cases occurring.
- So since you can get the disease, you can spread it and potentially cause the death of someone else.
- The only thing that vaccine does it makes it extremely unlikely that you will get a case that will necessitate you going to the hospital, which means it can save your life.
So you're saying lying is OK to get your point across??? One should not misquote nor misconstrue scientific fact, and by spreading your own misinterpretation of data, you're using the same playbook as the Pandemic Deniers and Anti Vaxxers.I am aware of all of that. I'm also pretty sure you were aware of what I was getting at.
wrong again buckoSo you're saying lying is OK to get your point across??? One should not misquote nor misconstrue scientific fact, and by spreading your own misinterpretation of data, you're using the same playbook as the Pandemic Deniers and Anti Vaxxers.
Stick to Honky Tonking, or better yet, try fishing again. At least when talking about fishing, stretching or ignoring the truth is totally acceptable and expected...
ROTFLMAO!! Misworded response? Is that what you call an out and out falsehood that you claim to have been cognizant of? You're sure not supporting your claim of "treating this with utmost respect & caution." Isn't "Doubling Down" used by the "others"? Maybe, "I guess I screwed up, my bad!" are the words you're searching for?wrong again bucko
I have all along (since I started this thread) treated this with the utmost respect & caution. I have never downplayed the seriousness of it. Simply because in my haste I misworded my response I am not using any sort of "playbook".
I realize you can still get it & potentially transmit (remote though that maybe by your own stated statistics) as I learned that in high school biology. One has to wonder why you didn't jump on pequa when he said the same thing. Selective harassment?
As far as your last paragraph - go take a flying leap. Or better yet - stick your sarcasm where the sun don't shine.
Now we have a billion rats to test it out on......My doctorate was "funded" by a thousand or so white rats...
A lot of places are pushing it and offering bonuses/perks.![]()
Federal law prohibits employers and others from requiring vaccination with a Covid-19 vaccine distributed under an EUA
As decision-makers at organizations decide on their Covid-19 vaccination policy, they should be careful to not let this passion lead the organization to run afoul of the law.www.statnews.com
Did you read the article?A lot of places are pushing it and offering bonuses/perks.
Yes I read the article and I agree with you. Just my observation that a lot of places my friends work are offering paid time off, cash bonuses, etc for getting the shot.Did you read the article?
Thats not what they are supposed to be doing, it should be a choice.
