out of Norfolk & Chincoteague - used to be a few out of Wachapreague as well until the marina went bust - you'd have to do some goggling - could check with Chris' Bait & Tackle near Cape Charles. They list charters on their website or Seahawk Bait & Tackle just across the Maryland border in Pokemoke (30 minute ride).

Ocean City MD as well if you don't mind the hour drive.

Macks - I've found that's the best time. Leave at 2 - hit NJ/NY border round 6:00 - 6:30. Most traffic is off the Belt by then. Generally straight through to Nissequoge.

Lots of rain slowed me down this time. Didn't get to NJ/NY until 7. Heavy rain from the Maryland border, through Delaware & into NJ.
