Whats going on in the World

So if thats the case he knew the gun was loaded with live rounds and shot them outside of a filming shot??
Actress Debra Messing came to the defense of Alec Baldwin on Friday after the Rust actor accidentally shot two crew members on the set of the movie, one fatally.

After conservative media personality Benny Johnson tweeted that the “accurate” headline for what happened is, “Alec Baldwin kills person with gun, criminal investigation underway,” Messing retweeted him and said, “It is absolutely NOT.”

“A prop gun was handed to him. He used it in the scene. Then- a catastrophic event happened where Halnya Hutchins lost her life and Joel Souza was injured,” she wrote.

“I am praying for all of their families.”

Assistant director Dave Halls unaware gun was loaded with live rounds, but allegedly had history of 'unsafe' practices

The shooting occurred around 1:50 p.m. local time on the Bonanza Creek Ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

"According to investigators it appears that the scene being filmed involved the use of a prop firearm when it was discharged," a Thursday release from the sheriff's office said. "Detectives are investigating how and what type of projectile was discharged."

Very simple. You are holding a GUN. PROP or otherwise. Would you trust ANYONE before you pull the trigger. I sure as sh$t would not! Ultimately it is the responsibility of the person who PULLS the trigger.

The way I'm seeing it at the moment, they were filming a shooting scene. Baldwin was to fire at someone, but he aimed away slightly (saving actor's life) and struck the photography director and asst director standing behind her.

Bottom line - pick a better sight line if you're afraid of shooting the actor.
