Just finished the insert for the trailer hitch for the Silverado. Stock hitch is 2-1/2 inches, every ball hitch I have is 2”. Ground down 7” in length to get it to fit then drilled new holes for the pin. Took hours. Sucks doing jobs without the right tools. Waiting for the paint to dry now

Heading north to do a Deer repellant spray. Besides the fact that the deer are eating his landscaping, client can’t even walk to his front door with so much deer poop on the walks.

just finished getting a spider out of my ear..........


I was using a gas powered hedge trimmer to cut back the dead growth on a huge ornamental grass bush(es) that I neglected to trim back last year. Lotta stuff to remove. As my ears are already pretty shot I decided to wear some ear protection.

My ear protection had been hanging on the inside of my shed for the better part of 8 years (when I moved down here) having only used them once or twice because I have "people" who usually take care of these things & rarely need to use powered yard equipment.


Well apparently over those 8 years a spider decided to take up residency in my ear protection unbeknownst to me.


(I'm sure you can see where this is going.)


So's I put 'em on & head toward the driveway where the "grass" is waiting. Got about 10 feet & I feel something crawling around in my ear.


The ear protection comes off VERY QUICKLY but something is still crawling around in my ear & feels like it's trying to get in my ear canal.


Quickly move inside to the bathroom mirror & see the butt of a big black spider sticking out of my ear canal. The rest of him was working on getting in there.


Quickly grab a tissue & start beating the crap out of it which resulted in a very messy kill.



NOTE TO SELF: in the future check things that have been in the shed for a long time without being used before you attach them to your body.

Just got home working with my son. We did a big pruning job. Have to finish next Wednesday.
Last pruning job for me. I will just supervise from now on. My back is killing me, it’s all knots. Now I remember why I stopped pruning a few years back. ?

I figured I will be in pretty bad shape tomorrow so I might as well keep going. Removed and reset all the brick paths in the veggie garden. Time for a long hot shower
