one of the Brit's friends in the UK just repleid to a meme I put on my Facebook page about gas prices here - it's over $12 USD a gallon in the UK

Europeans have Mastered the 4 cylinder engine along with smaller diesel engines. They also have the option to have a vehicle run on other fuels. Seen some vehicles over there that have a changeable tank for natural gas. Looks like what we use for propane grill.

Still costs a fortune to fill up but no shortage of cars on the road!

When I lived in the UK for a year back in 1983 a stick seemed to be the only vehicles available. Anyone else I rode with was also driving a stick

Return in 2005 for a family vacation (dughter's 16th birthday) all the rental vehicles were sticks as well. We travelled through Britian & Southern Wales.

Pleasantly surprised when I put fuel in my rig yesterday. Hudson point had diesel $5.99 gal.......cheaper than getting it on land ! Also $1 cheaper than 2 weeks ago.
