Annual Ward Melville Fishing Expo

Way back when, me too. But after hardly using the boat since I started kayak fishing in "my backyard", then finally selling it last year, getting hooked on deer hunting and the occasional beach walk while surf casting (or is it surf casting while walking), and never fishing on a head boat or charter... Things could change, but having some asshat side swipe my 4wd truck because his Dodge Charger or Mini Cooper shouldn't be out in a snow storm just isn't for me.
My intention is just to roam around in my NYAngler hoodie, maybe meet some of the guys here, sit in on both surf fishing seminars, and buy a few 3/4 and 1oz. lead jigs for dressing up.

I remember that. It looked like some of those newscasts from Midwest storms. Even saw a few 4 wheelie gents' trucks way off the shoulder with there roofs on the ground. Ugly.
 
If I can get off with my new work hours, I plan on hitting a 9am seminar and the 10:15, both in the LGI room. Then I'll visit Benny and Capt Mike. If anyone is interested in those 2 seminars let me know.
 
Having sold my little used boat I just surfcast and kayakfish my backbay now so I will be attending the 9am surf seminar in the auditorium, walk around a bit, although I could hit John Skinner again at 10:15 LOL, and then return at 12:30 to the auditorium for Bill Wetzel's surf seminar. Hopefully they can straighten out the lighting in the LGI !

As I mentioned before, I have presented a few times at WMHS and last year was the most challenging for me as I was assigned the LGI room. Following the show, I brought this to Bob Wilson's attention, and he promised to make improvements for this year, so hopefully it will be a much better experience.
 
Do we know where alternate parking is, besides the 1/2 mile walk in the rain before the shuttle bus starts at 10 AM from the Arrowhead elementary school ? Both the high school and Norwood Elementary School lots fill fast ! Used to be we could park and/or catch the shuttle from the nearby gospel center on Old Town Rd.

There will be a free shuttle bus starting at 10 AM and running till 3 pm this bus will bring you back and forth from Arrowhead Elementary School on Arrowhead Rd (located at 62 Arrowhead Lane East Setauket, just north of Nesconset Hwy/Rte 347 and is off of Old Town Road) to the main entrance. We know when our lot gets full that parking is difficult but we would like to remind you that you can park at then elementary school on Norwood Ave (which is in walking distance) and would ask you not to park in the funeral home or Jewish center parking lots. Thank you.

which is what I posted above. but before 10 am both the HS and Norwood school parking lots fill so ... ?
