Made A Classic Mistake

Arrived at Plum Gut this morning to find about a number of boats drifting the flood tide. About a dozen drifts produced 3 bass in the very low end of the slot & a couple of drops. Decided to head for the race in search of bigger fish. Got to the Race & found no boats & more important no life. Back to the gut & by now the tide was just about over. With almost no movement I tried, for the first time, a flutter spoon, one small bass, time to call it. Many, many tides ago a wise old salt told me, don’t leave fish to find fish. A mistake I have made in the past, made today, & will probably make again. John

You caught some fish....................success. You moved on a hunch, no luck. Give you credit for trying. There are times it pays off. But I have heard the same adage over the years. And yes, done the same thing!
