Here's Heidi, she's an African Pigmy Hedgehog. Mostly nocturnal, loves bugs and melon. Runs up to 8 miles a night. She's gotten a bit bigger since these pics. Loves sticking her head in toilet paper tubes.

Shades of a classic Fawlty Tower episode where Manuel had a pet rat that was purported to be a Filigree Siberian Hamster...

Sorry, that was the 1st thing that popped into my warped brain. I understand they're very nice pets and best of luck.

I just heard on the radio this morning that all domestic Hamsters are all related from a brother and sister hamster from Siberia ?
